Dirang is placed in the district of West Kameng in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. It is located near to River Kameng which is the main tributary of River Brahmaputra. Here, we can enjoy and explore wonderful destinations and get motivated by its prettiness. It is a hill station surrounded with snow on the mountains, beautiful streams and green environment. Most of its parts are touched with the Himalayan ranges. The place is completely free form pollution where the people can spent their time to have memorable moments in life. National Research Centre On Yak

The National Research Centre on Yak is positioned at the middle of the gorgeous Himalayan mountain ranges in the eastern side. The research is constituted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and is under the duty to conserve and safeguard the Indian Yak. From Dirang, The visitors will have to travel a distance of 31 kilometers to reach the Yak firm. In this centre, research is conducted on genetic resources and other issues that are connected with production of Yak. Dirang Dzong

Hot Water Spring

Sangti Valley

The Sangti Valley is located at a distance of 7 kilometers from Dirang. The beauty of the Sangti valley cannot be described in words. The valley is encircled with Himalayan ranges added with thick forests and beautiful rivers. In the month of November and December we can see black necked cranes migrating from China. After winter season, they go back to their home country in April and May. The people of the locality refer these birds as tung tung ka uk.

Kalachakra Gompa

The Kalachakra Gompa is a 500 years old monastery that is placed in the upper part of Kalachakra. Kalachakra is a village located in Dirang. Mainly, this place is visited by people who follow Buddhism. The people who love to share their time in the serene environment also visit this place.

In addition to the above mentioned places, the other tourist spots in Dirang consist of Kiwi Farms, Regional Apple Nursery as well as Progeny Orchard. The Dirang fort that was erected in 17th century is also famous tourist destination. It was constructed to escape war from the neighboring places. The nearest place to Dirang is Bomdila where there are beautiful sights for the people. The main entertainment offered in Dirang is trekking, mountaineering and bird watching.
