Based on mutual respect, admiration, trust and friendship, there was 7 years of co-operation between Heidi Weber and Le Corbusier. They enriched history architecturally of century with masterpiece blended by architect namely Le Corbusier. This centre was set by Administration of Chandigarh by the Swiss-French architect almost 6 decades ago when the city was conceptualized.

Centre exhibits and displays works and life of Le Corbusier such that future generations and tourists have acquaintance abilities for themselves with rich heritage culturally of city. The main target of Centre is display, preservation, research and interpretation of legacy and works of Le Corbusier. 3 Souvenir Shops at lake namely Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden and Le Corbusier Centre are successfully run under Society for Tourism and Entertainment PromotionS (STEPS).

It is museum that is according to culture and history of our country. Le Corbusier Centre is good for experience seekers of buffs of history. There are no entry fees. The timings are all week days except Mondays. The visiting time is from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 2 hours is taken by people to see this place.

This place has been dedicated to man who gave vision to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru of creation of a city of reality and face and also multifaceted and vibrant personality. It is overdue long commemoration for preserving and honouring legacy of Le Corbusier.

Tourist importance:

It was established in 2008 the 26th of October. This date marks 121st birth anniversary of Le Corbusier. The centre is originally office of Le Corbusier when he was doing work on city’s blueprint. This place is tribute to contribution immensely of the architect to city of Chandigarh.
