We all have heard about Birla family, the temples built by the Birla family are known as the Birla Mandir. There are many Birla Mandirs in our country located at different places. One of the stunning features of these temples is that white marble is used for its construction. The gorgeous looks of these temples make it unique from other temples of India. The birla family is still constructing such temples at different places; they believe that the construction brings good fortune for their family. The constructions of some of these temples are taking place at a very slow rate.  The Birla Mandir at Hyderabad is one such temple which was constructed in the year 1976.

The birla mandir is constructed on the top of Naubath Pahad, which is a hill, which is around 85 meters high. The temple was constructed Swamy Ranganathananda who was a member of Ramakrishna mission. The construction of this marvellous temple took around ten and was completed in the year 1976. As told earlier the construction of this temple was financed by the Birla foundation. Let us have a close look at the design of the temple.

The construction of the temple is really unique; it is a hybrid of Rajasthani, Utkala and Dravidian style of architecture. Around 2000 tonnes of white marble is used for the construction of the Birla Mandir. The temple is dedicated to the Lord Venkateswara. The idol of lord Venkateswara is made of granite which has a height of around 3.4 meters. The top of the temple consist of a lotus shaped structure and its roof looks like an umbrella on. A flagstaff which is made of brass is present there in the temple grounds, which is having a 13 meters height. This is a calm and quiet place which is meant to carry out meditation, so thus there is no traditional bell in the temple.

In this temple, there are separate shrines for God Venkateswara, Padmavati and Andal. Shiva, Hanuman, Shakti, Lakshmi, Saraswati and Ganesh are some of the gods present in the temple.

The temple is connected with the main centres of the Telangana by road and bus services are available. The travelers could use the buses to reach this place. Facilities are available for fulfilling the needs of the travelers visiting this temple. People who are planning for a trip to Telangana should not miss a chance to visit this place.
