India’s largest amusement park EsselWorld, located in Borivali a little west to the Gorai island, Mumbai is an ultimate tourist destination. The location is amazingly organized and quite extravagantly designed that caters variety of rides for all different ages including thirteen family rides, thrill rides, ice skating ring, discotheque and a perfect location for the domestic tourists looking for an exquisite vacation. The colossal park was built in the year 1986 is owned by Essel group of companies. Since its inception the park has been a major source of attraction due to its sheer qualities in terms of facilities and infrastructures and has been drawing enormous visitors every year. EsselWorld together with water kingdom which is one of the largest water park in Asia, encompasses an area of 65 acres in Gorai island and constituted Indian largest amusement park Essel world.
The park provides several high adrenaline pumping fun rides including dry riding and wet riding for all kinds of age especially thirteen family rides, thrill rides, nine children’s rides,a discotheque and plenty of delicious food outlets including Taipan Chinese restaurant, Domino’s pizza, Pannabi dhaba, south Indian cuisine and various local vendors some of the major attractions in the park. The pinnacle interest about the park is its adrenaline pumping rides which comes under three categories
Family Rides are competitively sober and calm option of rides predominantly for the family. Monster in Mist, Mirror Maze and highway cars are few family rides.
Adult rides are really hair- rising and thrilling spot for riding and exclusively for the adult or it requires adult supervision. Rook N Roll, Hoola Loop are the places with absolute thrill.
Children’s rides are no less in term of fun than that of adult or family rides. These rides are well equipped and equally enjoyable. Rio Grande train,happy sky and mini tele combat are few riding places with sheer enjoyment for kids.
Despite having equipped with various exuberant Riding and Roller-coaster the park is also a place where one can do ice skating, Bowling Alley, cricket zone Tosser, mountain climbing etc. The dance floor has added some extra toasts as various parties are celebrated on its high definition glass floor with lousy and noisy blend of music. In an attempt to make it more adventurous and scary Monster in the Mist a first of its kind Ride was inducted in the park in 2010 and its inauguration was done by popular TV show Roadies actor Ranvijay.
The best thing about the park is it is open everyday and from morning 9.00 to evening 5.00 The park can be reached both by rails and road. One needs to go through the west express highway by car or hired taxi. There are plenty of buses too which go to Gorai Creek and from there one pick ferries that run for the park. Local trains heading for Borival station are ideal as from there one can easily reach Gorai creek and board a ferry.
